Sean is a Venture Partner at Transform Capital and brings more than 20 years of operating experience across multiple industries.

In his role at Transform Capital, Sean works closely with founders and investors to uncover new investment opportunities and manage portfolio companies.  A passionate educator, Sean also serves as the Managing Director for Startup Hokies at Virginia Tech, where he oversees the design, implementation and content of new venture programs in support of the most promising student-led startups on campus.

Prior to joining Virginia Tech, Sean was Vice President of Product Development at Viqtory, a privately-held talent management and workforce development company that connects military community with civilian opportunity.

While at Viqtory, he pioneered the development of digital solutions and marketplaces that connected educators, employers with renewable talent candidates from diverse backgrounds, ranging from the military, high schools to vocational programs, and universities. Viqtory help these talented candidates make decisions about the next steps in their professional lives.

A nationally recognized thought leader on renewable labor markets, Sean’s work has been cited in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, CNBC, USA Today, NBC.com, Entrepreneur, the New York Post, the Kudlow Report and various third-party media outlets.

Sean holds a BA from the Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from Virginia Tech.  Additionally, Sean served as a pilot, Naval Aviator, in the U.S. Navy from 2001-2009. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and various worldwide campaigns, he accumulated over 1,000 hours of fixed-wing flight time.
